• First Diagnosis – Free
  Your first diagnosis is always absolutely 100% free. Your Free diagnosis provides a quick triage that helps you describe your issue, understand possible categories of problems, and get general guidance.
• Additional diagnoses can be purchased as monthly, annual, or one-time purchases.
  A deeper, ongoing conversation for any number of vehicle issues. You can ask follow-up questions, refine the symptoms, and keep working the same diagnosis thread until the case is reasonably resolved, or you decide to take it to a mechanic.

Several plan options are available at affordable prices.

No. AI Repair Guy is an information and guidance tool. It is not a licensed mechanic, repair facility, or dealership, and it does not replace professional inspection by a qualified technician.

The service uses AI and general automotive knowledge to suggest possible causes and next steps, but:

• It cannot see, touch, or test your vehicle directly.
• It may not account for all conditions, modifications, or prior damage.
• It cannot guarantee a particular outcome or repair cost.

AI Repair Guy is designed primarily for modern passenger vehicles:

• Cars, SUVs, and light trucks with a 17-character VIN (typically 1981+).
• Both gasoline and diesel engines, plus some hybrid/electric scenarios.

Older vehicles and specialty vehicles (classic cars, heavy equipment, custom builds) can still be discussed in a more general way, but the guidance will be less VIN-specific and more “best effort.”

A valid 17-character VIN lets AI Repair Guy understand the exact year, make, model, and configuration of your vehicle. That makes the diagnosis more tailored and accurate.

If your vehicle doesn’t have a 17-digit VIN (for example, many cars older than 1981) or you can’t read the VIN, you can still:

• Describe the vehicle (year, make, model, engine, and any key options).
• Describe the symptoms in plain English.

In those cases, the system will treat it as a more generic vehicle and do its best with the information you provide.

Your VIN, vehicle details, and diagnosis conversations are stored so that:

• You can revisit past diagnoses for the same vehicle.
• The system can see pattern and history when you start a new diagnosis.
• You don’t have to re-enter the same information every time you come back.

Yes. You can add multiple vehicles to your “garage” and store a history of diagnoses for each VIN. Each Advanced Diagnosis is tied to a specific vehicle and a specific issue, but your overall account can hold as many vehicles as you like.
